Hark Pro is a consumer AI assistant from Hark that remembers you, reads your email, suggests actions and runs tasks for you on a cloud computer. It launched on 6 October 2026 on the web at hark.com, iOS and Android, with a free tier and two paid plans. Hark calls it "an operating system for your life". This page covers what it is, who's behind it, how it works, what the plans cost per press reports, the privacy stance, what's coming next, and how it compares with Hermes and Agent OS.

I tested it the day after launch. If you want my hands-on verdict, read my Hark Pro review. This page is the overview.
If you want to build AI agents that run parts of your business, not just your personal admin, that's what the AI Profit Boardroom is built for.
What Is Hark Pro?
Strip away the launch hype and Hark Pro is a personal assistant that does things, not just answers questions. You tell it what you want in plain English, and it can read your inbox, book things, track things and handle admin across websites.
It's aimed at everyday life: bookings, bills, your inbox, planning your day. It's not a developer tool and it's not a business automation platform.
Who's Behind It
Two names matter here:
- Brett Adcock founded Hark. He also runs Figure, the humanoid-robot company.
- Abidur Chowdhury is Hark's head of design. He's a former Apple designer.
You can feel that design background as soon as you open it. It's the smoothest consumer AI agent I've tried. Honestly, it feels like the Apple of AI agents.

How Hark Pro Works
Hark Pro is a few pieces stacked together.
Long-term memory
It remembers you across conversations. The more you use it, the more context it has. When I asked it to book an Italian restaurant, it picked one of my favourite restaurants without being told.
Handoff, the cloud computer
Handoff is a cloud computer that does tasks across websites for you. You watch it work in a small window, so it's not a black box. That visibility matters when it's acting on your real accounts.
A model trained for computer use
Hark trained its own model specifically for using a computer: clicking around websites and finishing tasks. That's what drives Handoff.
Home, action buttons and panels
Home is a screen of action buttons and panels. Panels are mini apps that learn your preferences. You describe what you want, it asks a follow-up question, and it builds it. I typed "track my productivity" and it asked whether I meant meeting hours versus focus time, or to-do tasks.
Proactive cards
Based on your connected email and services, Hark surfaces action items you can approve with a yes or no. It's my favourite feature. You stop digging through your inbox and just tap.
Projects and scheduled tasks
Projects are dedicated threads with files for long-horizon work. Scheduled tasks let it do things on a timer, not just when you ask. Voice is input only: you can talk to it, but it won't talk back.
If you want the walkthrough of each screen and what to do first on your phone, see my Hark Pro app guide.
Hark Pro Plans and Pricing
Per press reports, here's how the plans break down:
| Plan | Price (per press) | Usage | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Base usage | Anyone trying it out |
| Hark Pro² | $20/mo | 2x usage | Regular users who hit the free limits |
| Hark Pro³ | $100/mo | 10x usage | Heavy users running lots of tasks |
Reports also say the first 100,000 sign-ups get a paid plan free. I'd check that in the app before counting on it.
My advice: start free. Connect email, give it a few real tasks, and only upgrade if you actually run out of usage.
Privacy Stance
Hark Pro reads your email and acts on real accounts, so privacy matters. Here's what Hark says:
- It won't sell your data to advertisers.
- You can delete your data any time.
That's a decent start, but your own habits matter too. Connect only the accounts you need. Read approvals before tapping yes. Stop a task before it completes until you trust how it behaves. I stopped my restaurant booking right before it went through for exactly that reason.
Hardware Coming in 2027
Hark has said hardware is coming in 2027. Beyond that, there's nothing confirmed to share, so I wouldn't buy into the plan based on hardware promises. Judge it on what the app does today.

What Hark Pro Looks Like in a Normal Day
Features lists only tell you so much. Here's how the pieces fit together when you actually use it, based on my own testing.
Morning: prep my day
Ask it to "prep my day" and it checks your calendar and inbox, then builds an itinerary for the day. When I ran it, it told me my inbox was clean and offered to pull sales numbers ahead of a team sales meeting that afternoon. That's the memory and the email connection working together.
During the day: proactive cards
Instead of opening your inbox and deciding what to do with each email, Hark surfaces action items and asks yes or no. Tap yes and it handles it. Tap no and it moves on. This is where most of the time saving comes from.
When you need something done: just ask
Booking a table, sorting a bill, checking something across a few websites. You type it, Handoff does the clicking in a small window you can watch, and you stop it any time. I asked for an Italian restaurant for Wednesday next week at 6pm for two, and it got all the way to the booking step on its own.
Longer jobs: projects and schedules
Anything that runs over weeks goes into a project with its files. Anything repetitive goes into scheduled tasks. That's the "operating system for your life" idea in practice: one place for the small stuff and the long stuff.
Hark Pro vs Hermes and Agent OS
This is the comparison people keep asking me about. The short answer: they solve different problems.
| Area | Hark Pro | Hermes / Agent OS |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Personal admin: inbox, bookings, bills, your day | Business automation: content, SEO, outreach, workflows |
| Setup | Sign up and connect email, done in minutes | More setup, far more control |
| Where it runs | Hark's app and its Handoff cloud computer | Your own setup, wired into your tools |
| Customisation | Panels, projects and scheduled tasks | Custom agents, skills and multi-step pipelines |
| Best for | Someone who wants their life admin handled | Someone who wants agents doing business work |
Hark Pro is the easiest way I've seen to get a personal agent running. But if you're building agents to grow a business, you want Hermes or my Agent OS. Start with my Agent OS guide, and see how I score tools in Goldie Bench.
Plenty of people will end up with both: Hark Pro for life admin, Hermes for the business. That's a sensible split. For another take on how consumer agents stack up against Hermes, read Meta Muse vs Hermes.

Who Should Use Hark Pro
- Use it if your inbox and admin eat your week and you want something that works out of the box.
- Use it if you've bounced off more technical agents and want something simple.
- Skip it if you need agents to run business workflows. Go with Hermes or Agent OS.
- Skip it if you're not comfortable connecting your email to an AI that can act on it.
