- Workhorse tier. A cheap, fast model handles the everyday grind: summaries, drafts, file wrangling and research legwork. This is where DeepSeek V4 Pro lives for me, because the economics are absurd in the best way.
- Frontier tier. For genuinely hard jobs, complex builds, tricky reasoning, anything where a wrong answer costs me real time, I swap up to a frontier model for that one task and then swap back down.
