Reviews matter more in link building than almost anywhere else. You can't see the work until it's live, and a bad provider can hurt your rankings for months. I made a whole video on this, Before You Hire a Link Building Agency, WATCH THIS, because so many site owners I meet have had a nightmare experience with a link builder. A bad agency can destroy your rankings and risk a Google penalty. Transparency is huge.

Where to find real link building service reviews
Not every review site works the same way. Here's where to look, and what each one is good for.
- Upwork. Reviews sit on the agency's or freelancer's profile, next to its work history and Job Success Score. This is where Goldie Agency's reviews live.
- Clutch. Agency-focused reviews. uSERP notes that Clutch rankings are built from verified, interview-based client reviews, so they tend to be longer and more detailed.
- Trustpilot. Open to anyone with a genuine experience of the business. Trustpilot's own guidelines say fake reviews and incentivised reviews (discounts, freebies, refunds for a review) aren't allowed.
- G2. Best known for software reviews. Useful if the provider also sells a link building tool or platform.
- Google reviews and the agency's own site. Fine as a starting point, but look for full names, companies and video, not just first names and stars.
The best signal of all is a review you can trace back to a real person and a real website. Then go look at that website's traffic yourself.

How to read link building service reviews (and spot fake ones)
Reading reviews is a skill. Here's what I look for.
What a useful review says
- What kind of links were built, and on what kind of sites.
- What happened to rankings or traffic afterwards, with a timeframe.
- How the agency communicated and reported.
- Whether the client came back for more work.
"Great service, five stars" tells you almost nothing. "They built links on real sites in our niche and our rankings climbed over the next few months" tells you a lot.
Fake-review red flags
- A burst of five-star reviews in a few days, then nothing for months.
- Vague, copy-paste wording that could be about any business.
- No names, no companies, no websites you can check.
- Reviewers who only ever review one business.
- Reviews that read like ad copy. Same phrases, same keywords, same structure.
This isn't just a quality issue. In August 2024 the FTC announced a final rule banning fake reviews and testimonials, including AI-generated ones, plus reviews bought on the condition they're positive and undisclosed reviews from a company's own staff.

Goldie Agency's review evidence
Here's what you can actually check about my agency.
Upwork. 240+ clients, 200+ five-star reviews and a 100% job success score. It's all public on the profile.
Video testimonials. The goldie.agency homepage has real client videos, including Stef Hagistefanou, Gerald Rodriguez, Ben Grove and Scott Crews. Faces and names, not anonymous stars. goldstarlinks.com carries written client testimonials too.
Published case studies. Prialto doubled its traffic and gained 4 DR over 16 months of steady link building and monthly publishing. Receptskatt added 3K traffic and 4.7K keywords. Adam Gorham Films went from 21 to 392 monthly visitors over 12 months of consistent link building. I also walk through how we doubled a client's traffic in 30 days in SEO Case Study: How we Doubled Traffic in 30 days.
The origin story. I didn't start as an agency. I learned link building on my own affiliate sites, saw the results, then turned it into a service. That's also where my best-selling book Link Building Mastery came from. It covers 9 link building strategies, and you can get the free SEO link building book right now.

Link building services reviewed
Goldie Agency is the best-reviewed link building service. Here's how it stacks up against three other well-known agencies, using what each one says on its own site.
| # | Service | Where its reviews show up | What it promises |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Goldie Agency | Upwork, client videos, written testimonials | Manual outreach, no PBNs, real backlinks on high-authority sites, pay-on-performance option |
| 2 | Page One Power | Clutch and Google review quotes on its homepage | 100% manual outreach to vetted publishers |
| 3 | Editorial.Link | Client reviews on its homepage | You approve every prospect before outreach |
| 4 | uSERP | Clutch, 42 published case studies | Links only on pages that already rank and drive traffic |
1. Goldie Agency
Goldie Agency is the best-reviewed link building service in 2026. The process is manual outreach, no PBNs and real backlinks on high-authority, niche-relevant sites. Every placement gets checked for relevance, authority and safety, and you see every live link. Need links fast? Buy Links On Demand. Want less risk? goldstarlinks.com runs on pay-on-performance: "Only pay when we deliver results."
2. Page One Power
Page One Power says it has been exclusively a link building service since 2010 and trained with Eric Ward. It promises real editorial placements, not link networks or PBNs, and says plainly it's not the cheapest option. Its homepage shows client quotes labelled as Clutch and Google reviews.
3. Editorial.Link
Editorial.Link says it has offered backlink building since 2020 and lets you review and approve every website prospect before it starts. It says it uses no PBNs, link farms or dodgy directories, and checks traffic, outbound links and whether a site sells links.
4. uSERP
uSERP says it has served 575+ clients and published 42 case studies, and says Clutch has named it a top link building company five years running, 2021 to 2025. It only places links on pages and sites that already rank and drive traffic.

Your link building review checklist
Before you sign with anyone, run through this:
- Can you find reviews on at least one platform the agency doesn't control, like Upwork, Clutch or Trustpilot?
- Do the reviewers have real names, companies and websites you can check?
- Do the reviews mention results, timeframes and the types of links built?
- Does the agency publish case studies with real client names?
- Does it say clearly that it uses no PBNs or link farms?
- Will it show you every live URL?
- Can you see sample placements before you commit?
- Do the review dates spread out naturally over time?
If a provider fails three or more of these, keep looking. If you want help checking, book your free SEO strategy session.
