A bot is a named AI worker with one job, its own memory, and its own schedule.
Before Bot Mode, Hermes Agent worked in sessions, so you opened a chat, gave it a task, and it did the work.
A different task meant a different chat.

A routine is a recurring task on a schedule, and that's the whole idea.
Summarise my inbox every morning.
Check my niche for new developments every day at noon.
Pull fresh content ideas every Monday.
You attach the routine to the bot whose job it is, and the results land in that bot's chat history.
So when you wake up and click your inbox bot, the morning summary is already sitting there waiting.
None of that is a developer task, which is the point I want to hammer.

The honest downsides
I'd rather you hear this from me than find out on your own.
It's a beta, and it isn't perfectly smooth.

It's a desktop plugin, so it installs on the machine running the Hermes desktop app, not on a server.
Some early testers installed it on a home server, saw nothing, and got confused.
